Esmarie Swanepoel sits at the intersection of law, strategy, and artificial intelligence. What sets her apart is the layer underneath: a deep understanding of how humans actually think, decide, and change.

An Anthropic and Microsoft Certified Generative AI Strategist, NLP Practitioner, and holder of a Diploma in Blockchain for Financial Services from the National University of Singapore in addition to her corporate strategy and commercial law background, Esmarie brings more than 20 years of international experience in corporate law, governance, and business strategy to her work in AI implementation, leadership, and human-centred design.

Her career spans leading law firms in South Africa and the United Kingdom, a decade in the Mauritian financial and legal sector, and early work with Virgin South Africa during the establishment of the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in Johannesburg. Today, she serves as a board director and advisor to multiple companies in Mauritius as Director of an FSC licensed Management Company where she advises founders, entrepreneurs, and existing businesses on navigating complexity at the intersection of regulation, innovation, and opportunity.

Esmarie is the creator of two proprietary AI frameworks: The HUMAN Framework and The EDGE designed to help professionals and organisations implement AI strategically without losing the authenticity and human judgment that make them irreplaceable. She also conceptualized and developed of SmartJoe, an AI-powered company secretary platform simplifying compliance through intelligent document generation and regulatory management, as well as Tributes.ai, a white-label AI solution supporting funeral homes and grieving families through obituary writing, memorial design, and lasting digital tributes.

As Ambassador and South Africa Chapter Lead for AI-Powered Women (the world's largest AI leadership platform for women, rooted at MIT with over 5,000 members across 50+ countries) Esmarie is deeply committed to ensuring women are not just present in the AI conversation, but leading it.

She currently serves as Mauritius Business Leader for AFSIC, is a founding member of the Africa Business Opportunities platform, and is a member of Women in Tech Mauritius.

Her work is known for translating complex technologies into frameworks professionals can immediately apply with rigour, relevance and candid sharp observations.
