Business Speed Dating returns for its fifth edition, giving 30 promising early-stage companies the opportunity to pitch their businesses to investors and carefully selected growth partners through a series of focused, pre-matched conversations, based on the interests and requirements of both parties.
Business Speed Dating for Founders
We are looking for ambitious founders building the next generation of African businesses through technology, original thinking or new commercial models.
Applicants should be beyond the initial idea stage, with a working product, pilot, early customers or other credible evidence of progress. You should also be able to explain what your business needs next; whether that is investment, a corporate pilot, market access, specialist technology or a strategic introduction.
Business Speed Dating runs from 16:00 to 18:00, followed by cocktails and further networking until 19:00. Registration starts at 15:00
Successful founder applicants pay a commitment fee of R200, or R100 for Innovation City members, to secure their place.

Business Speed Dating gives investors and selected Growth Partners direct access to a curated group of early-stage founders chosen for the strength of their opportunity, evidence of execution and growth potential.
We welcome venture capital funds, angel investors, family offices, venture studios, corporate innovation teams and other organisations interested in hearing pitches from promising early-stage founders.
